During the spring term, we launched a competition where the children were challenged to write a story of no more than 500 words. Over one hundred stories were written and every single one was a joy to read. They featured characters including superhero guinea pigs, dancing pandas, sloths with ninja skills and everything in between! Settings ranged from the Eiffel Tower, a museum, the Amazon and outer space! I was amazed by the quality of your ideas and want to thank everyone who took part! We had 24 winners across the school from Y1 to Y6, each receiving a gift card to spend at Waterstones.
Each winning entry will be read aloud by a member of the teaching team and the videos will be accessible by 20th May at the latest so please check back. We hope you enjoy listening to their stories and congratulations again to everybody that entered. I hope you continue to enjoy writing for pleasure, St James!
