Values

Three core values underpin all aspects of our school life - these values are rooted in Christian belief and are embedded into the everyday life of our school, as a natural and integral part of all that we do:

Psalm 133:1  'How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!'

We use the language of values as a tool to help children guide their behaviour and to understand the behaviour of others. We believe that the impact of our focus on these values is that our children are kind, courteous and considerate. They feel proud to be pupils at St James, becoming lifelong learners with respect for themselves and others, who uphold our ethos, demonstrating our values within their school life, family life and the local and global community.
